I’ve had this pair of Vandersteens for likely 15 years, I purchased them utilized from an utilized stereo shop as a part of Phoenix. They’ve never been mishandled by me and are fit as a fiddle. They have been mishandled by my canine. He peed on them. I took the socks off, washed them (they clean up fine in the clothes washer). I tidied up the bases, and cleaned the cupboards before returning the socks on. The main proof of this now is on the exceptionally base of the speakers where the bases join, so unless you listen with the speakers topsy turvy, there ought to be no issue. The finish on the base is fine. I’ll be joining more pics later to show point of interest.
Other than that, there might be a little knick here and there, and one of the socks makes them pilling on the back, however you can’t tell unless you run your hand over it. No unmistakable gaps or tears, no critical scratches. Truly from 2 feet away, they look very new.
They sound extraordinary and capacity superbly. When I had the socks off I added some felt to the highest point of the 8″ driver bureau, as is done in the later arrangement from the processing plant.
